In these trying times, we must all look out for one another, and care for one another, in our use of common spaces. With that in mind, please see the following:

Tot Lot: the tot lot is closed until further notice. The risk of community transmission of the virus from children playing together or playing on and handling hard plastic surfaces is far too great. Please, no children in the tot lot.

Benches and Tables: the several tables and benches in common areas are off limits until further notice. These are hard surfaces where the virus can exist, and community transmission is a clear risk.

Mailboxes: please try to handle only your own box, the lock and swinging door. Resist the natural temptation to touch the top or sides of the mailbox frame. And wash your hands afterwards!

Sidewalks, Lawns and Streets: please practice proper social distancing at all times in these areas, six feet between unrelated persons. Now is not the time to be embarrassed about stepping onto a lawn or into the street to create six feet of space. We show our concern for each other by practicing social distancing. Say hi to people when they do so and thank them for thinking about your safety as well as their own.

Children: Please supervise children playing in common areas. Social distancing will not be effective if only adults are practicing it. We are fortunate to have lots of green space, but we should be careful how we use it in the coming days.

Pets: please practice social distancing with pets as well as people. If you play with your dog, and your dog plays with another dog, and that dog's owner then plays with their dog, another avenue of community transmission is possible, from hair, collars, leashes and so forth.

Volunteers: please let us know if you would be willing to do grocery shopping or other essential errands for community members unable to do so for themselves.
